Congrats!!! You are going to do fine. The nervousness combined with the excitement is SO normal!!! Likely many attending will share in your emotions. I only wish they had the life skills classes when I was going through my prep. From what I hear, they are excellent classes that really give you help for your life as a post op. Again congrats on the classes and meeting up with your "fellow" WLS"ers. I have found my new friends an absolute blessing, and expect that you will find the same. Enjoy your day!

I"m in the class now. Nothing to be nervous about. You are surrounded by supportive staff and a group of peers in the same stage as you are. You'll learn tons too! That's always a good thing. Good luck! Gigee

The PMRI Gastric Bypass Life Skills class is nothing to be nervous about. However, take my advice and loose your goal weight gradually. Some of my classmates lost it early in the class and then we ended up gaining weight before the final weigh-in. I still passed the class but it took things like SlimFast & water pills to get me to my goal weight. Use this time to start preparing for your life as a post-op. What things do you need to change? What things are working well already? Who will you have for support? The class goes by fast and the final test is multiple choice and extremely easy. There's no need to study. If you show up for the classes you will ace the test. Focus on changing those eating habits and start exercising. The weight will come off. Good luck! Cassandra
