Hi everyone! As much as i am on cloud nine since the big Eagles win yesterday, this morning i became a bit bummed out and disappointed. I went in to the doctor's office this morning to do my usual 2 week weigh in. Well, i get on the scale and it barely moves! I believe that i have only lost about 4 pounds in the last 4 weeks! Now, i have also been excercising on a regular basis along with doing some weight training, and i don't know if that has anything to do with it. Don't get me wrong, i am very happy and grateful of my accomplishments thus far, but then again, i am my own worst critic and i really wanted to see the scale move more than it did. I had had one goal reached..........it was one year ago yesterday that i had my initial consultation with Dr. Wynn, and 1 year later, i have lost 100.8 pounds, and 85.8 since surgery five months ago tomorrow. Any suggestions on how i can break this plateau?? Or will it just break through by itself? Thanks for letting me get this off my chest. -Joe-

85 lbs in 5 months. That is incredible. Stop whining and up the water. I hope you took measurements before. Just for times like these. Exercise helps with the inches. Working out does 2 things. Makes muscle out of fat and helps the ticker too. SOOOOOO even if the loss has slowed you are getting firmer and your heart is stronger. Don't be so hard on yourself. You looked pretty good to me on Saturday. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Hi Joe, Look up, E told you to stop whining and up the water Ok, I'm done laughin'' atcha Ahem, ok now to be serious, your body is doing some serious weight reshifting if you have started weight training, that coupled with the occasional ( perfectly NORMAL ) plateau, I'm surprised you lost anything. Definitely check the tape measure and use your clothing as a guide. Sometimes shaking up your calorie intake, either higher or lower, can help. You'll get moving again soon I'm sure. Keep on doing what you're doing, because you're doing a great job! I haven't seen you in what, 2 months? I bet I won't even recognize you. Linda

Hey Joe, Next time you want to see the scale move, pick it up and shake it. You still got plenty of time but now is the time to get committed, and make sure you are sticking to the protein levels that the doc and you established. Recheck your intake valves. Switch up your diet to give your body a jolt! And keep exercising, drinking lots of water, and above all else STOP DRINKING BEER!!!!! Your friend and advisor. Rob GO EAGLES.....

Hi gang! I should just post and clarify for some that may not know me. I have not had a beer since prior to surgery and i do keep up with my protein levels. This was one of the most important decisions of my life and there is no way that i plan on screwing this up. Thanks again for everyone's input, it's appreciated. -Joe-
