Hello, I was wondering, I heard some people talk about the iron staining your teeth. If you are on a liquid iron, is there any hints that anyone can give, so your teeth do not stain? Any other hints would be helpfu. Thanks, Christie Only 4 days to go until I am on the losing side

Hey... I have never heard of the staining of teeth for iron. I have always taken the chewable cherry iron from the vitamin shoppe... doesnt taste half bad. Good Luck.... Jenn

Hi Christie - You can use a small paste of peroxide & baking soda. This works well on tea, coffee, soda stains. Valerie

I used to put the liquid iron in applesauce and it turned my teeth terribly. I now swallow (against dr's advice) the little iron tabs. Oh, and if it happens to you, pay close attention to Val's remedy. I mixed it up a bit and almost burned my lips off (I used chlorox instead of peroxide -- duh!). Dianne

Hi Christie I avoided the liquid iron because of the stories that I heard about the staining of the teeth. I use Nature Valley's Chewable Iron with Vitamin C. It is cherry flavored and tastes pretty good as far as a chewable tablet is concerned. I bought this at the Vitamin Shoppe. I am sending good thought and prayers your way for your upcoming surgery.
