snack ideas
Hi Kimberly,
I am worfully lacking in the snak idea catagory and was hoping to see some replies to give ME some good ideas LOL. I'm still with the same ol' same ol'...string cheese, sometimes Trader Joe's Flax Tortilla Chips with a little ( or sometimes NOT so little lmao ) Cranberry hazelnut gorgonzola torta on the side. oooooo, how I do love that stuff. Trader Joe's 5 bucks, not very high in protein and a definite 'treat' type foood, but really delicious if something like that doesn't trigger you to want to eat too much.
One of my next experiments is to use it as a sauce base for broiked or baked chicken. Sunflower seeds are one of my regular items too. I hope to see some clever ideas added to this thread, I'm fresh out of em!

When I am in a snack mood and find myself standing in front of the fridge staring at the shelves... I know that if I have something lower in carbs or preferably a protein food, it will fill me up and I wont be back.
So, I like beef jerky, a piece of protein bar, a rolled up piece of deli cheese or turkey or bologna, some nuts, a few shrimp, a little fish salad (I usually roast a larger portion of dinner salmon and then flake it and blend it with dressing in a bowl)... ricotta cheese, sugar free pudding, a couple of sugar free cookies, splenda sweetened yogurt.
My husband just asked me to make him a grilled cheese sandwich... but we dont have any bread...lol. So I have to try and find something for his snack mood!
ciao
