Hello again everyone, My question is, with protein shakes, I used milk with the protein powder and a shaker cup. My milk was foamy; is there any other way so my milk does not come out foamy. Or do I just stir it in. Also I have my medical eval. today at PMRI and I am protein deficient. Thanks a bunch, Christie

I'm baaaaack! God, there's no escaping me tonight, Christie! I just e-mailed you and now I see this. Poor girl! Anyway, make protein the focus of your meals NOW ... don't wait for surgery ... it'll improve your deficiency and it's good practice. Think eggs, yogurt, milk, cheese, and other dairy products, beans, peanut butter, and of course, meat!! Make yourself focus on your protein consumption. Eat your eggs before your toast. Eat the chicken before the potatoes. As for the shake, I typically blend mine and I've been known to stir together a pre-made shake with either soy milk or a scoop of whey for an extra boost. (Try some peanut butter in your chocolate shake.) For a snack, dip apple slices in peanut butter. Stir some wheat germ or ground toasted flaxseed into your yogurt (fiber and extra protein!) Hey! Your day is coming up soon!! Sandi

Hey there Christie, Sounds like you are shaking way too much! Just rotate the cup and let the couple of ice cubes do the work. The foaminess may just be the way your protein works. If you email me your address I will send you some great protein samples that taste great and dont foam up at all. It is crucial to be in the protein groove before your surgery as protein helps your body heal from this aggressive surgery. SO you are absolutely doing the smart thing by getting in protein now bella. ciao Susan Maria BariatricEating.com
