OT: my embarrassing moment of the day

All my life I've never met a stranger and never have been timid and have never minded to ask a stranger to do something for me. So tonight as we were headed to the stage to sing at our Governor's Inaugural Reception I dropped my purse at this nice man's feet and asked... "Could you watch this for me?" He said of course. And then as I was walking away, the man standing next to him, in his best Secret Service voice said: Yes ma'am, I'm sure the Lt. Governor would love to watch that purse for you". Oops. *grin* Gigee

Gigee, How funny! Our Lt. Governor seems to be a very nice man and I'm sure he didn't take a dime from you! Hope you had fun tonight! Valerie

I had a great time thank you! He was very gracious. I was sure to tell him what a great job he did watching my purse for me lol

Gigee- This is absolutely hilarious. It sounds like we might share something for gumption and luck. Several years ago I was playing in an important Welcome performance for King Harald of Norway. I inadvertantly asked his guard to mind my trumpet case! I heard the performance went wonderfully, and I have no doubt. The Christmas concert was a musical blast; my partner, my parents and I all enjoyed it emmensely. I've liked seeing your posts over the past few months. How's the journey going? Peace- Susane

You couldn't have had anyone better watching your case. lol Hey you came to our Christmas concert. Next time be sure and find me afterwards I would love to meet you all. The journey is going quite well. I'm in the classes now. Have a few more appointments to go to. And my surgery date has been set. It's just a matter of time now. Oh, and I need to start hunkering down on this class stuff, I've been so busy that I go to class and then get caught up on my own little world between times. I need to study! And there's this little issue of losing 2% of my body weight. First week I didn't make a change, I've done much better this week. We'll see what the scale says on Tuesday evening. (If only they would weigh me first thing in the morning before all this fluid collects). Cabaret is coming up. If you are going to be there let me know. I'll look for you. Gigee

I'll definately be there. Wouldn't miss it for the world. I think my family will be coming too...for some reason, my father can't get enough. One of my best friends/colleagues is a bass. Were you at the Halloween Party?

I look forward to seeing you at the Cabaret! Who is your friend? lol I was at the Halloween Party. Do you remember the covered face, hooded all black and then the brain up top? That was me I awarded the grand prize at the end of the evening to the mermaids and mermen.

That's Great! My friend is Karl. At the halloween party I was "Victoria's Secret"...with the black wings, whip and mask...she's a naughty little secret. My partner was "Bob the Builder". How funny we've been bumping elbows all these months.

Hi Gigee Oh my gosh, Gigee, I would never have dared asked a total stranger to watch my bag. But it does seem that you got good taste in men. Maybe you could give me some pointers. I seem to have bad luck when it comes to guys. Maybe we could double date some time. Do you think the Secret Service guy was single?? Oh, by the way, I loved reading your profile. *grin* Rose
