I will be 6 mos post-op on January 17th and down 117lbs!! I cannot believe how wonderful I feel and the energy I seem to get each and every day! It has been such an extraordinary journey thus far and I am really looking forward to more of the journey. I was so amazed when I went to buy a new pair of shoes the other day and found that I needed shoes 2 sizes smaller and no longer needed WW(extra wide width) and just the W(wide). How exciting!! Anyone else experience this?? Missy

Uh oh, I HOPE this doesn't happen to me. I have always had a teeny tiny foot (the ONLY thing that was teeny tiny on me! ) A size 4 (sometimes a 5 if they were cut smaller) AND it was a PAIN to find shoes! When I put on my weight I went up to a size 6 and I was so happy! I LOVE buying the smaller clothes but smaller shoes, UGH! But Yeah for you since you are happy about it!

I also hope it doesn't happen TOO much to me, ... maybe just a little, just enough for everything to feel real comfy. I say this only because I have soooo many shoes and it'll cost a lot of $ to replace them .... morose news to my husband's ears. He's never understood the shoe thing, anyway. His idea of essential and my idea of essential are vastly different ... poor fella! Maxi

Maxi, I think it's a medical fact that men lack the "shoe-shopping" gene! My experience is that he'll think anything beyond a dress shoe, sneakers, and (maybe) a boot is unnecessary! Pool souls -- or should I say SOLES??? Sorry bad pun! Kit

Hi Missy Congrats on losing two shoe sizes. Prior to having my daughter (21 years ago) I wore an 8 1/2 shoe. I have been a size 10 shoe for years. I am crossing my fingers that my feet will also gradually shrink. Just think of all those cute little shoes you can now buy. The shoe stores never have the larger shoes in stock. ((Hugs)) Rose
