Just approve

Hi , I`m new here , Just found this site. I and my husband have both just been approved for RYN. We have already had our consultation at the Barix Clinic. I just need a release from the cardialogist and Hubby needs a few more releases. I`m already excited , but a little scared also. I could really use some encouregment to put to rest my fears. We live down near Rehobeth Beach, {about 13 miles away, } There doesn`t seem to be any support groups this far down in the state. So I don`t know what we will do for support after the surgery, but I know we will need it.

Hi Lydia, Congrats on approval. I am not sure as far as support groups but I know on one of the boards I think this one, they list the different support groups. Keep us posted on how everything is going and hope to see you on the losing side soon. (((hugs))) Take care and God Bless!!! Christie

Hi Lydia, I was looking at the message boards and the only one I really found other than groups in Wilmington, was in Smyrna. Below is the information not sure if this is farther for you or not. Welcome Lydia & hubby, . Will you go to the Barix Clinic in Pennsylvania? Guess you'll be doing some traveling on your journey!! Your fears and excitement are sooooooo normal. Ask away and we'll answer. Course your Doctor should answer any medical questions. All we have is experience from having WLS or preparing to have surgery. I hope to have my surgery at the Barix Clinic this Thursday. Will keep you posted. Are you going with Dr Brader? There is a Bariatric Surgeon in Seaford. Will try to get the name and number, they must have some sort of support group. Good luck.

Dr. Kaczmanski will be our surgeon. I don`t live far from Seaford, maybe I will be able to find out about the support groups.
