Calling all prospective angels
This is a call to those who have had wls and experienced complications but came through them successfully. A co-worker has had wls on 12/22/04 is having complications and is currently in the Christiana Hospital due to bleeding and blood clots. If there is anyone out there who has experienced this or any other problems and would like to be an angel to my friend please call and ask for Carol Pryce at (302) 892-2986 or (302) 588-6715 anytime day or night or e-mail me at [email protected]. She is really depressed and needs someone to pick up her spirits. If your heart moves you to be of encouragement to this sweet lady please contact me right away. Thank you.
Carol
Welcome to the boards. I'm very sorry to hear that your friend is having complications. I didn't have anything like that but just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and of her as well. Hope she is feeling better. She's in good hands if Drs Irgau, Wynn and Peters are her docs.

Carol -
Sorry to hear about your friend's complications. If she/he is ok with it, you can post their name & room # and we can send emails to help cheer her/him up!
I haven't had any complications, but will be in the hospital on Thursday and would not mind visiting if your friend would be up to having a WLS peer visit.
Take care, and keep us posted!
Valerie
Carol,
I'm giving you a call...I had bleeding issues in the hospital..but Dr. Wynn..took care of everything. I was weak probably longer then some..but now..I'm much better and have no regrets. Feel free to email me with anything. I know when I was going through the bleeding and transfusions..I was second guessing my decisions and crying. But, I was so weak..and well, thats a normal reaction. But, with this great support group behind me( with the emails i received in the hospital etc.)..it only gave me more strength.
You've come to the right place! This is a great board, full of encouragement. One suggestion is to post your friends name and room number and we can all send her email greetings that they will deliver to the room. She will know she is in our thoughts..and not alone.
Hugs,
Kimberly
