Happy New Year from Ruth
Hi Friends: Thought I'd drop a line and let you know how it's going. I enjoyed meeting many of you at the support group meeting. I am doing a little bit better. I had a bunch of bloodwork done and met with nutritionist and doctor. All my levels were excellent except low blood and low protein numbers. I am still struggling with getting protein in. I am not throwing up as much. I was never told that my portions should not be larger than a matchbox and lipstick tube, 1/2 tennis ball.... Also it is difficult waiting to drink after I eat, because I'm a big drinker. I've been trying to get Unjury and hope dr. office is open tomorrow so that I can try that. I also started exercising again. Lost another 3 lbs. so I'm now down 47 lbs. since my surgery on Oct. 25. Also feeling not as depressed. Looking foward to leaving 2004 behind me and making 2005 MY YEAR...

Ruthie, baby! Hey, I'm gald to hear that you're doing better! I know what you mean abt. drinking large quantities and/or drinking with meals. I've always wetted my whistle while eating so that's been different for me as well. Get them proteins up, girl! As for Val, she's a sweetie! When she offers to do something for you, she's very serious...she'd literally give you the shirt off her back I think! (Val, Val, the Viking Gal ) Hopefully you got your Unjury! Take care, Ruth! Hi Ruth!
Happy Happy New Year to you too!
I am glad you are feeling a bit better. It is such a process and it sounds like you are being gentle with yourself which is good. Congratulations on your weight loss and excercising. That is something I am starting too. Excercise is also a mood elevator so maybe that is helping too.
Take care and hopefully we will meet in 2005 at one of the meetings.

Hello Ruth,
I'm so glad that your feeling better. I was really worried about you when we talked at the support group meeting. I hope you managed to get the unjury and I hope you like the taste because I know that was a concern with you, finding something that you like. Hang in there. As you can see, you have a lot of support. I hope to see you at the next support group meeting.
Love,
Franca
