Consultation...
Hey gang,
Christina here, well my first consultation with Dr. Peters went very well. He is the nicest guy ever, he suggested that because of my age, and the fact that my husband and I would like kids, SOOOON (God knows we've been tryin', LOL) that I stick with the Lap-Band, but totally up to me, he says.
To be honest guys and GIRLS I am not very educated on that preceture (did i spell that right?), he explained to me that years ago they thought it wasn't as effective as they are learning now. Good news cause I thought it sucked, well better said it didn't do its "job" well. So back to the books I go, I need to fully inform myself via doctors, people, books.... you name it. Although I trust his judgement, anyhow Dr. Peters did say I would be much lighter on my feet (they kill me) and that with even a 20 lbs weight loss my diabetes may be cured (is cured the right word, i dunno if it is really ever cured) which would be awesome news for me.
So I have my little folder full of goodies, hehe.... i have to schedule an appt. with the heart and lung doctors, I figure I will do that A.S.A.P but I won't expect anything until January, then I move unto the PMRI center, I sure hope my experince goes better then others I have read about.
Dr. Peters informed me that the PMRI classes required $1200 CASH upfront anyone know what he's talking about I ask because in the paperwork he gave me it says $275.00, AND he gave me a number for St. FRancis who is said to be cheaper, however if i do the classes there i must get the suergy done there, kinda confused here LOL
OKie I think thats it 4 now, oh any Lap-band ppl out there would love to talk to ya.
AHHH b4 i forget my insurance does cover the band ( if I go with that) but we all know how that can go I might not get a choice, the insurance company does... heheh
