Welcome Debbilou When you get a chance double click on some of the names of us that post. You can goto our profile page and read our story. Verrrrryyyy interesting reading. You'll see some of our journeys. Don't be discouraged though. Through it all you will learn things and do your own research. Then you can make a sound educated decision if the WLS is for you. Try to remain focused and positive on your ultimate goal of becoming healthy. Elissa

Hi Debbilou Welcome to the DE board. I know exactly how you feel. When I was going through all the pre-op testing, I had a hard time keeping track of all the dates and the locations of the doctors, what each one wanted, what tests had to be done prior to seeing them. I thought it was never ending. At times I felt like a lab experiment. Now that I have had my surgery, (December 8, 2004), I am really glad that everyone was so thorough. I had no complications and feel wonderful. Everything was checked out before hand and there were no surprises. Just remember to take one day at a time and try not to get overwhelmed with the big picture. Your day will be here before you know it and you will be well prepared for a successful surgery. Hugs. Welcome Debbilou! Nah, it never ends just changes shape a bit! Always something to keep us hopping! Congrats on your date. Things will start moving faster as soon as you have your clearances out of the way and your insurance approval in hand. For me it started moving too fast at that point. Never satisfied I guess . About the chat room ... Our DE chat is rarely ever used. You can go and set up a time you would like to hold a chat, then post it on the message board. Perhaps some will be able to make that time and chat with you. Or you can go to the main chat ... usually there is someone if not a lot of someones hanging around there. You have to have the latest version of Java loaded on your computer to access the chat. If you don't have it, they have a link. Here is the information you need to chat in the main room. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/chatroom.phtml Again, welcome aboard!!! Wishing you the best jumping through all the hoops!!! Hugs, Tammy
