exercise question

Hi everyone Yesterday, since I was one week out from having surgery, and it has gotten very cold outside, I decided to forgo my mini walks around the development with our dog and start some serious walking on my treadmill. So for the last two days, I have walked 30 minutes on the treadmill at a comfortable speed of 1.6. This is an accomplishment for me 'cause prior to surgery, I was only able to walk for 10 minutes and then had to crawl back up the steps because of how bad my body was hurting. My question is "After surgery and after doing your walking, did you feel a little worn out. Not in pain or anything, just tired? I feel great. My hips and legs are moving better than they had in years. Do you think maybe the Lovenox shots are helping my legs to feel better? I know that sounds far fetched, but I am just wondering. Rose

Hi Rose, . The more you walk the better you feel overall. The more exercise you get the better the legs will feel. The more you walk & exercise the faster the weight comes off and that pressure is lifted up, up & away from your legs and knees. This is probably what you are experiencing. Miracle isn't it???? God is good and our Dr's worked this Miracle for us through His guidance. The Lovenox keeps the blood thin and keeps clots from forming. This is good. Walking also helps the blood move through our veins and keeps the heart healthy. Feeling tired, normal. Take a short power nap to give yourself the stamina you'll need to finish out the day. Keep an eye on your Blood pressure too. Mine went real low within 4 weeks and I had to come off 2 of the BP meds I was on. Hope to see you Saturday at the PMRI support meeting on Saturday. Elissa

Hi Elissa Another thing I am experiencing is that I am going to bed later and waking up earlier fully refreshed. Prior to surgery I would be in bed before 9pm and be dragging myself out of bed around 9am to rush off to work. Now I am fully awake til about 11:00pm and wake up fully refreshed around 7:00am. I know it is not the vitamins, 'cause I have been on the vitamins since August. I am giving the credit to God and the skills that God gave our surgeons for this wonderful transformation. I feel wonderfully fantastic. I will be at the meeting on Saturday. See you on Saturday. Hugs Rose

After surgery I was SUPER tired with doing just about any work-outs. The body is still recovering so its good to take it nice and slow at first. After a couple of months it started to change over to more energy and better weight loss. I skipped 3 weeks lately and my loss has stopped. So in the long run...remember to keep it as a must do for as long as possible. Make it your new routine. Best wishes to you! As far as the lovenox shots... no clue about that I hated those shots! but glad that I had them! Elizabeth M
