Surgery Date Set

Well I just got off the phone with Misty and she told me I am all set to have surgery on January 26, 2005. I can't wait of course I have to admit I am nervous but with your love and support I am sure I will do just fine this site has been a great help. How do I get an angel I sure need one please help me and keep me in your prayers. What a great way to start the New Year off !!!!!

Thanks again I have 3 more lifeskills class and then my pre op appt is on 1/13/05 with Dr. Irgau after my appointment I am going out for my last big meal to Red Lobster and having a great big Lobster. I am still looking for an angel if anyone wants to be mine. Thanks again for all your love and support.

Michelle, Looks like I missed your question on getting an angel. Sorry!!! This board is chalk full of angels. If you don't have a "particular" one chosen, then it seems everyone kinda takes you under their wings!!! However, if you would like a personal angel, all you have to do is ask/email the person that you would like to do it. If they can, they will. If they can't (sometimes they are not in a position to be able to help - nothing personal) just ask someone else ... we have a lot of angels in training just looking for someone to mentor!! Another option is to simply email back and forth with someone who seems to "fit" your personality. I don't think I have ever not had a good response to any question/concern posted on the board or emailed privately. AND if by some chance it is overlooked ... please don't take it personally ... just email or post again. Things sometimes get lost in the shuffle of life. And sometimes emails don't go through like we think they do. I know that I have some problems getting all my emails at times. Best wishes and many hugs!!! Hi Michelle Congrats on getting your date. January 26 will be here before you know it. I, too, had my last big meal at Red Lobster. Excellent choice. I went for those rolls. They just melted in my mouth. Yum. I just had my surgery last Wednesday. Everything went well. There are some things the class doesn't teach you that are really important. First, if you are hot, you can request a fan. Second, if you want to watch movies, just ask the nurse, and she will bring you up a bigger tv with some vcr movies. Third, they wrap your legs with these pressure cuffs. It feels wonderful. I wanted to take the pressure cuffs and the machine home with me. Fourth, the nurses on 5D are the best. They go out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable. and Fifth, Drs Irgau, Wynn and Peters are the best. I will be praying for you that you have a uncomplicated surgery and a speedy recovery. Rose
