My 2 week check up
I had my appointment this morning with Dr. Peters. Well I am down 14 lbs and 19 inches, overall. I really thought I would have lost more lbs, but he said I was doing great. And I feel great, I guess that's all that matters. Hopefully by my next 2 week appointment I'll be down another 14 lbs then I will feel better and not feel that I'm lagging behind.
Michele
Michele,
Don't get discouraged about the weight. My first 2 weeks after surgery, i lost 32 pounds, but it was all water weight. If you lose another 14 in your next visit, thats great, but don't put pressure on yourself if the loss isn't as high as you want. Just like others have said, it will come off, enjoy the ride. The doctors always say that you should lose 2-3 pounds per week, as long as i am on that schedule, i am happy. Of course exercising will help with the loss too, but you will be able to do that when you get clearance to exercise again after 1 month. Just follow the docs orders and you will be fine, don't put any unnecessary pressure on yourself to lose the weight, it will come off.

Michele,
Wonderful news!! Dr Peters is so right ... you are doing excellent. I am so glad to hear how much better you are feeling already. It amazes me at how fast we start to feel like a whole new person. Keep doing what you are supposed to be doing ... that is all you really have control over anyway ... the weight will take care of itself - in it's own good time!!! About lagging ... please, please do yourself a BIG favor, and do not compare yourself with others ... it will only lead to heartbreak. I speak from experience here. There are far too many variables between each of us to compare our loss with anyone else. Just take your loss for what it is and enjoy it. You are doing absolutely awesome!!!
Hugs,
Tammy
Michele, Wow. This is great news. Hope you can get out and walk on the nice days. It'll be so worth it. You are doing a great job. You'll should already start to notice how loose your clothes and rings are getting. Try not to beat yourself up too much. Your journey has just begun. Enjoy the ride. ((HUGS)) Elissa
