Hi Everyone- Well we have gotten everything lined up for the new support group. It will be geared more to post ops of a year or more, but post ops of less then a year are still invited. Support members are also invited. We want this to be your support group along with the other support groups in the area. We too are on a learning curve, so please be patient. We are open for any suggestions. The meeting will be held the Second (2nd) Thursday every month. The location is: Concordia Lutheran Church 3003 Silverside Road Wilmington, DE 19810 If you need directions or have questions you can call me on my cell phone: Nicki Zimmerman-Manero 610.322.8282 The meeting will be from 7-9 pm. We plan to leave the last half an hour open for socializing and open discussion. The first meeting date is January 13, 2005. The parking lot should be lit. We will be meeting in the basement. So when you pull into the parking lot you want to drive all the way around to the back of the church. There is a door there. There is no fee, but a donation would be appreciated. It goes to the church for access and use of the building. It would be great if I could get an idea of how many think they would be able to attend. You can just reply to this post. This meeting is put on by: Nicki Zimmerman-Manero Rob Siers Elissa Hart Debbie Papa We have been through training with Obesity Help. Please feel free to contact me at [email protected] or 610.322.8282 if you should have any questions. Thanks for your support! 610.322.8282

Less than a year out for me, but even so, too far of a hike for me to drive and work it into my schedule. Best of luck to you all and I hope you get it off the ground and a good turnout.

Hi everyone. Hope to see everyone at the 1st Healthy Beginnings meeting. I for 1 love going to all the support meetings. I only hope to give something back that has been given to me. Support, friendship, okay a little cheerleading too. Sharing recipes, nuts and zuchinni cake. This surgery has been a life saving miracle for me. Oh I was wondering how everyones stones are making out? I think I gave them at the 1st meeting I was at after surgery at PMRI. My martinini glass is overflowing. Life is wonderful. It was a year ago today that I was IRIF'd. My life was in God's hands. What a blessing I have been given. Down almost 11 months and 130 lbs. Not in 5X's anymore, in a 16. Healthier and happier. I am blessed with family & friends that have helped me through this journey. Thanks. ((HUGS)) Elissa

I'm not a year out but I am really looking forward to the meeting. I hope that I will be able to attend on a regular basis. It is good that it is being led by people who have been through the surgery and ALL of you have been so successful. That will be a real encouragement to so many of us. Each of you have your particular strengths also which will give a well rounded out meeting. Thanks to all four of you for taking the iniative and getting this meeting going. I am sure that it will be a great success!!! God Bless, Mama

*hands in pocket, stomping feet* OH, I SO WISH I could go ... Thursday's are not good for me, add to that an even further drive ... not likely I will get to join you all too often - if at all!!! Thursdays are hubby's long day at seminary (Central PA) and it doesn't look like he will normally get home early enough for me to make the meetings. I sure do wish you the very best!!! Sounds like it is going to be an awesome group!!! *sniff*sniff*
