HI there Guys & Dolls,
Anyone else scheduled for surgery on Monday, the 13th?
I have officially started my 48 hour fast. My report time is 9:00 with surgery scheduled for 12:30.
I enjoyed a delicious prime rib last night with baked potato, butter and sour cream with green beans. Yummy!!!!!!
Please keep the losers bench warmed up cuz I m coming over on Monday.
Have a great weekend, I know I will. Gotta go practice that pole dance for the nurses station. Maxi are you ready? Linda pick out the boots. Five D won't be the same. (just feeling a bit silly)
Thanks for the laughs, encouragement, knowledge and best of all new friendships.
See you soon,
Ellen
I wish I were going to be there with you! I can't even decide on a Dr. at this point. Dr. Miller in Seaford was to be my Dr... but now, I'm searching again. I have insurance that not all Dr's accept.. TriCare...
Best of Luck. I know you'll be fine.. come out on the losing side!!! Hopefully I'll join you there soon... I'll be thinking of you on Monday...
Keep your chin up, drink your water, and remember.. our true selves are hiding under all of this excess..and now we get to shed it and come out of hiding!!!!
Good Luck!
Blanche
Hi ya Ellen!!!
So Monday is YOUR day eh??? Congratulations!!! Truly, life will never be the same!!! Get ready for the ride of your life!!! My journey has been a real roller coaster ... up and down, these days, far more ups than downs. Best of all .... I am now truly able to look toward the future ... a very long future!!! AND a REAL life. What a blessing!!!
My "last" meal was high protein also!!! I really believe that it helped me not to be hungry during my fast. The only real time that I had a problem was in the middle of the first day. Got hungry (head hunger), so I flooded with Fruit 2-0. After that, there simply was no hunger. Sure hope you find the same!
BTW - Linda has a beautiful pair of pink boots see if she is willing to give them up for a good cause!!! You know you will definitely need something appropriate to go with the gowns as you peruse the halls!!!
Take care, get lots of rest. Know that I will be praying for you. If there is anything I can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask.
Hugs,
Tammy
Hi Ellen
Very important to have your last full meal stacked with protein. I had a little trouble on my second day of liquids. A little chicken broth really hit the spot and I was able to continue my liquid diet to completion. I know you are going to do great. With our surgeons at your side, you will soon be another success story awaiting to be told.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Please be nice to the nurses , they are just recovering from having me as their patient.
Don't forget to walk the halls, sip the juice and breathe. For me the breathing was the hardest part.
