Hi Everyone, It's been a long time since I've posted anything but my time is approaching soon.(Dec 28th). I can't wait!!!!! I have my vitiamins, shakes, puddings, protein powder, mini food processor, small containers and loads of recipes. Can any of you guys think of something I'm missing?? I'll be staying with family afterwards and I want to make sure I have everything. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! thanks, kym

Hi Kym Don't forget to take chap stick and a comfy pillow to the hospital. Having these really made my stay at the hospital easier. Please keep us posted on your journey. Rose

Kym, Great news, not much longer now. Most everyone recommends chapstick and a pillow with decorative pillow case so it doesn't get confused with hospital ones. Best wishes on your journey. Sending prayers your way. Ellen

Kym, Chap-stick and your sense of humor will be your best allies in the hospital and during those early days at home. Also, do you have a small spoon to eat with? It really helped me to use a baby spoon in the early months to help retrain myself how to eat slower. Will you have a recliner available to you after surgery. Some of us had problems sleeping in the bed the first week or so. From what I can tell, it is those of us who normally sleep on our left sides that have some trouble (just guessing here). Also, remember that your tastes may be really off for a while after surgery. Don't overdo anything at this point. Just get the bare essentials to hold you over for a short while. A trip to the store to pick up those items that work well for you, will be good for you ... walk walk walk ... just make sure someone else is driving and there for you if you get tired! Wishing you the very best!!! Tammy
