I had surgery on 7/19/04 and have felt wonderful up to this point however on this past Monday, I started to get some sharp pains on the right side of my abdomen right under my ribcage area. It doesnt last long or happen very often but every once in a while I feel this stabbing, heated sort of pain on that one side and was wondering if it could possibly be my gallbladder??!! I was wondering if anyone has any problems with their gallbladder since their surgery?? I do take my Actigall everyday, twice a day...could this still happen?? Should I call my PCP or Dr. Wynn?? I would really appreciate any reply you may have!! Thanks MUCH! Missy

I would call dr Wynn. I had the same thing happen and an EGD showed ulcers. They put you on meds to help them. This is just an idea but do call Dr Wynn and Irgua. Hope

Hi, Deffinately call the doctors. I remember Brett telling me that the chance of gallbladder problems is 2-3% for anyone, but after WLS, the percentage goes up to 12-15%, but taking the actigall reduces the risk back down to normal, but there is still that 3% that will have stones or attacks. Hope you feel better soon.
