How long does it take to get an appt. with Irgau/Wynn
I called in March 2004 for the appt., but wasn't seen by Irgau until mid Sept, which was 6 months. HOWEVER! Since they've added a new surgeon to their group practice, wait times have dramatically improved ... at least for surgery dates. I could've been scheduled for late November, but opted for Dec. 20 because of work-related demands. It's hard to say how long your wait will be, but it will definitely be worth it. Irgau is one of the finest surgeons in his field. I researched him carefully. Take care! Maxi
Hi Tracey,
Welcome to the board! I called in May of 03 and was seen in November and surgery was in March. 6 month wait for me,but as Maxi said, they are changing how things are done now. Just have to say...even if you have to wait, it will be SO worth it, they are the absolute best at what they do.
Linda
Whoa, Nelly !! That was fff-fast, Christina! They really are able to expedite appt.s now that they've got Peters on board. Also, they are improving their own organization and processes. Dana is correct about using time to your advantage...the more prepared you are the better. You do have time between now and your surgery to continue your research and grow in your knowledge and committment. Besides, you still have the nutrition class and all your pre-op appt.s to do. The time will go exceedingly fast ... just ask me - I was whining about how it seemed to be dragging by and NOW? It's only a week and a half away! So much still to do (and i thought I was pacing myself nicely!) Take care! Maxi (Linda, do you still picture me running thru a meadow? )
