Does anyone know??????
Freida, I have attended the Changing Lives Group meetings in Northern Delaware at the Va Med Ctr on the 3rd Thrusday of the month. No one there mentioned anything at the last meeting. I do not have Dr. Miller. My Dr's are Irgau and Wynn. Have you personally called the Dr.'s office? It is suggested that we stay in at least yearly touch with our Dr's for the rest of our lives. I for 1 would be bummed out if I couldn't. Please re-post when you find out if this is true or false. Thanks Elissa
Hello Frieda and everyone else interested. I just got off the telephone with Changing Lives. I was told that there was an administrative decision with the doctors of Changing lives, not to continue Bariatric Surgery. This was the response I received when I asked why. Dr. Miller, however is still a general surgeon and will continue to be with the office. Follow ups are still being done. Weird huh!!! Thanks Frieda! If I find out anything more, I'll let you know. Man that's a bummer, he's a good surgeon too. ~Shelly
Maybe it has to do with insurance companies dropping the surgeries. Apparently alot of insurance companies are going to stop covering them in 2005. Maybe that has to do with it??? Its sort of scary though! Do they know something we dont? I love my doc (Dr. Wynn) I hope they never go away!
