Thank you to everybody who sent me well wishes and prayers. To my Good Friend Ellen Thanks for caring about me. You are the "bomb". I got home today @ 12:30pm. Everything went fine, my only concern is that I have a large amount of bloating & or gas that will not come out. It gets to be very uncomfortable. I do walk & I can burp, but I cannot pass gas yet. Anyone have this happen to them & what did you do? Thanks, Jenn

Hi Jenn, My best advice would be to keep on moving and then move some more. You can also try lying on your left side ( might be a little tender from the drain site ) and draw your knees up, that can help alot. Try chewing some Gas-X too. Just remember, This too shall pass...LOL ok, sorry BAD pun but I just couldn't help myself Hope you're feeling better soon. Linda

Welcome home Jenn!!! Try some chewable Gas X that helped me alot along with moving around and walking. I started Gas X the day I was released. Gas you'll have for a while due to them blowing up your stomach to due Lap. It does get better but the gas pockets can be a bit uncomfortable. You'll be gasy for a while...LOL Shay

Hi Shay I had heard about the gas build up, but until now didn't know what would make it better. Thanks for the advise. I will be shopping at the drugstore tommorrow for some chewable gas-x. Rose

Welcome Home Jenn It was really nice meeting you at the hospital. I am glad that everything turned out well. I had heard about the gas build up but wasn't aware of a remedy for it. Take things easy for the next few days. Get some rest, sip some protein liquids and walk a bit. Rose

Welcome home, Jenn! And welcome to the loser's bench! Gas...I remember it well! I had another way to help move it through. I would stretch out on the recliner, as far as I could, then sit up and stand, then walk. This seemed to help the best for me...best of luck! Valerie

Lots of new noises and other things happening. Keep moving. Walking is the best and about the only thing you can do right now. Your 1st BM is time for a party. Makes you feel good to know everything is working. Eventually your body will settle down and you will find remedies to help all the new noises and odors. Good luck. Elissa
