My Journey has Begun

Looks like you definitely have a good laughing attitude to help you through this process. I read some of this stuff (and I'm just beginning) and I get so overwhelmed with the long road filled with disappointments that you all have experienced and I wonder if I have the stamina to make it through this. But then someone funny like you comes along and all seems right with the world. And that husband of yours (3 min) - seems like he lasted longer than my real marriage.....oh yeah, and now that you are done with him...perhaps you'd like to share him with your other friends = that is only if he's a nice guy and all. but only lasting 3 min. I'm not sure I wouldn't be setting myself up for another one of life's disappointments. See, laughter is the best medicine. btw -- what kind of procedure are you having and why does it sound so uncomfortable even with all the mind altering drugs?

Hi Jenny! It's that nice camera down the throat thing. When Dr. Peter's told me he would be doing it I said. Oh, that's fine, as long as you realize you are putting me to sleep... cause if you don't I'll fight you all the way. He said NOT a problem. They are checking for.. well shoot, I'm not sure what exactly they are checking for but since I have a history of esophagual (sp?) ulcers I know he will be checking for that. Now about that husband... I'll give him to ya. 3 minutes is ALMOST long enough for him to toss some socks on the floor, haul dirty dishes to the living room and leave the bathroom seat up. Still want him? LOL

About that husband thing --- 3 minutes does give him too much time to act like a man around the house and not enough time to act like a man where it counts -- so you can keep him, honey. I'm sure whoever he is will support you through this whole thing and if he doesn't, we'll be here to pick up his slack. (sorry to any overly sensitive dudes out there -- this is just a humor approach to the unknown - so get over it - its not meant to disturb anyone - just make them laugh. Again laughter is the best medicine (or at least I hope so).

Gigee, Looks like I missed your post earlier when I was absent from the boards ... such a shame too as you are one funny gal!!! Truly enjoyed reading it this morning though ... it helped to brighten this dreary rainy day! Thanks for the humor, and best wishes in not only your journey but with that new hubby of yours. Guess we are going back to the day of arranged marriages? Better hurry and let the other singles on the board know, so perhaps they can prepare for it a bit! Again, congrats on everything getting lined up and ready to roll!!! Hugs, Tammy
