Date Change
Hi,
I pretty much expected it and today I received the call from Marie who is covering for Misty. My surgery date of November 29th has been postponed until December 13th. Initial disappointment, however, I am committed and know it is for the best. My pulmonology clearance is holding me up. I had the second
sleep study on the 16th and if you have ever had a sleep study, they take their time getting the results back to the doc. I truly do appreciate all the checks and balances the CHRIAS team has in place for our safety.
Anyone having surgery on December 13th, please let me know.
Have a safe Thanksgiving Holiday.
Ellen

Hi, Ellen...
I am so sorry that u'r date was postponed for two weeks. I know how mentally prepared we need to get for something like this and it sucks to have the rug pulled out at the last minute, even if it is temporary.
In any case, I wanted to wish u luck with the next two weeks...pls know that we are thinking about u and wish u the best.
Btw, I'm also in the MOT area...let me know if u want to get together at any time to go walking or whatnot.
Happy Holidays!
(((hugs)))

Hi Ellen
I know exactly how you feel. The same thing happened to me. My surgery got postponed from December 1st to December 8th becasue of Pulmonary. Mine was not the sleep center's or the doctor's fault, it was a member of the pulmonary doctor's staff. Misty told me that she has had problems with the Glasgo office.
I have gotton over my disappointment. Things aways happen for a reason. God is in control. I figure that if God wants me to wait until December 8 to have the surgery, then so be it.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Rose
