Hi everyone I went pre-surgery shopping today. Bought my Flintstones Complete Chewable Vitamins, Chewable Caltrate 600 + D, B12 from Trader Joes that dissolves under your tongue, 6 canisters of crystal light, sugar free jello, instant sugar free pudding, Carb Control low fat chocolate milk and Carb Control regular low fat milk. Previously at Dr. Irgau's office I got unflavored unjury, chocolate flavored unjury, hot chocolate variety pack and the pudding and shake variety pack. This afternoon, I picked up my treadmill from Nicki's house. (Thank you, Nicki!!) My friends convinced me to set it up in the basement. I even used the treadmill for 10 minutes today. I am going to try to get in the habit of 10 minutes before work and 10 minutes after work and then gradually work my time up. I am hoping that once I get my leg muscles stronger, my knees won't hurt as much. Anyway, could someone tell me where they get extra strenght liquid tylenol. I was only able to find children's liquid tylenol. Also, is there any other liquid medicine that I should have in the house? Later in the week, I am going to get a food processor. I heard that Macy's has a small one for $40.00. Can anyone suggest a good low priced food processor. I think I am going to puree as I go and not make a lot and freeze. In the puree stage, what was everyone's favorite puree meal? I think I am going to be making a lot of smoothies. The pureed food that I tried at the Life Skills class didn't really appeal to me. The smoothie was really good. Also where do I get the Davinci syrups. Which ones are the best to start out with? Can you think of anything else that I might need to have in the house. I want to shop early and not have to depend on my daughter to pick up the right things. Thanks Rose I think my head is starting to spin but in a good way

Rose, Wow! You are doing great!!! I just thought I would chime in on the processor. I just used my little chopper, I purchased for less then ten dollars. You won't be processing enough food to buy a large one. It worked perfectly for me! Hugs!!!! Kimberly

Hello Rose, Congrats on making it this far. I like you did the same pre surgery prep. I bought a had blender stix ( it looks like a wand) I bought it at Walmart's for around $18. The first 48 hours you will going to be on clear liquids like broth, the same food you are on before the surgery. After that during the pureed faze I could hardly eat real food. I stayed towards soups. I concentrated on getting my fluids in along with my vitamins. Just remember when making any kidnd of food that it will last for several servings, as your stomache is adjusting to taking in food. So don't stress about eating to much after surgery. As far as liquid tylenol you will be sent home with tylenol with codeine from the hospital. I used the morphine button to keep my side and back from hurting, but did not have any complications before, during, and after surgery. Cynthia
