Let's do an update
I have an idea that might help some of us. How about an update on how we're doing. I guess it is what has been done in the monthly check in.
Just a few notes on how we're each doing with: Protein intake, exercise, water, vitamins, general health, foods, etc. With the emphasis on areas we're doing real well in and want to share some pointers and areas we're having trouble with.
Then others could respond with some suggestions.
I guess I'll be the first to go: Please do yours as well and give me some suggestions.
Week of November 14th-20th
Protein intake: Most of the week I did pretty good; although I probably just skimmed my 70 grams per day. I find that I really need those shakes to make my quota. If not, I can only get in about 40 grams. Way too low. I know that my challenge was that I was on the move alot and my schedule changed. I need to do a little more pre-planning when things are topsy-turvy. One thing I have done is put some protein bars in my glove compartment. Today I ate one on my way home. Instant 21 g of Protein. It's going to help
Water/flluids: I had no problem getting my quota in of fluids this week and went way over. Most days I got in 100 ounces or more. It seems I was always drinking. Now what I was drinking could be a problem. I've been drinking alot of Crystal Lite Iced tea. I found these great little packets that I can fit in my glove compartment. You just pour them into a bottle of water and shake. I used them all the time in Israel. But that is alot of caffeine.
Vitamins: I missed two days of vitamins because I left them at another location. My solution: keep them in the glove compartment. I used to do that but I ran out and didn't fill up my little tupperware container.
Exercise: BAD WEEK !!!!! I only made it to the gym one day this week. Lost my routine and am determined I'm going to get it back TOMORROW. Isn't that a famous word "tomorrow". Seriously, though it was very difficult with this week being very scattered. I did get three miles in on Monday. But the rest of the week wa**** and miss. We have two houses and this week we've been in Maryland which is far away from the gym. Our other house in Delaware is five minutes from the gym. I guess that is no excuse for not walking out in the neighborhood. Nor is the excuse that I didn't have my sneakers with me. Now I've put my sneakers in the car so I can have them wherever I go.
Other areas: I don't have any problem with giving up sugar, or at least I haven't had any problems. I do like Christmas cookies though. So I do plan on attending the PMRI meeting.n Another good thing: My husband is drinking protein shakes with me at night instead of eating his evening bowl of ice cream. YEAH!!! He especially likes the chocolate mint shakes and says he doesn't mind them at all. Another good thing: He's majorly cut down on his carbohydrates. And he really likes his pretzels. Hasn't had one this week.
Food tip of the week: Ribs. They are easy to digest and at Bugaboo their childrens portion is $5.99 and is an entire half rack which lasts for at least two meals. I request them without the sauce and they have a really nice dry rub on them which gives them great flavor. Have done this as a take-out and was very pleased.
So that is my weekly confessions. All in all I'm doing pretty good and I feel great. Healthier than I have in Years. And by the way I got into a pair of size 10 pants. I can't believe it. Of course I wore one of those stretch things underneath to hold in all the loose skin. From a 22 to a 10 in 5 months. (the 21st was 5 months and 64 pounds down) I don't know how many inches but it must be alot. I think the exercise has alot to do with it. My pounds aren't as great as I'd like but as long as I'm loosing I'm happy.

Good job!
My week was good...until the end of the week. I had to do some traveling for work and well I got all messed up schedule wise with foods and drinks.
I am presently getting 70 grams of protein....two shakes and the rest foods...Only so many hours in the day to do everything.
Drinking about 100 oz of water....And I want to know why I am in the bathroom so much?
Vitamins....do them all the time....I think of them as candy. I have been having problems doing my blood pressure pill. I can't believe I can't get off of the med! I am borderline right now. It tees me!
I was proud of myself at the Job Fair I did on Friday. I did not touch any of the muffins nor the hot dogs but boy did they smell good!
I got a shipment of clothes from an Ebay bid today and found out I could put on some 18s and 22s! How exciting is that!
My gym experience this week has been 3 times.. I was hoping to get there today but shopping got in the way! Well I did walk alot around the stores does that count for me?
I feel good too! Better than I have in a few years.

Good idea! I really gain a lot of inspiration -- not to mention great ideas, tips and advice -- when everyone does this. I just posted my 3 month progress recently so I won't go into detail again, but I am doing great. My bloodwork looked great. The nutritionist, Dr. Iragu, and Dr. Burgess were happy...so I was happy too! I weighed myself yesterday and I have said bye-bye to 60 pounds!

THANKS for the encouragement. I see by your posting that very soon you will be joining us on the losers' bench! I remember how confusing it was, who am I kidding it still is, so if there is anything I can do to help let me know!
