Follow Up EGD today and Met Maxi

(I lost this post once already--here goes) I went in to Wilmington Hospital for my follow-up EGD today. This is the third one and I was thoroughly asleep for the other two. I was AWAKE for this one. Thank goodness it only takes a few minutes as I was not happy about it. But it's over and not so so bad. I just cannot believe that 75 lbs less of me was under the anesthesia and I woke up this time! The ulcer is almost healed but I need to continue to take four more weeks of the carafate. Dr Irgau said he had a hard time finding it, so it must be nearly gone. I met Maxi in the waiting room and we had a great chat. Passed the time pleasantly, too. Thanks, Maxi. She says she lurks on here, here's a challenge for ya, Maxi. Post and let us know how you did. Maxi has a surgery date of Dec 20th--wow what a great Christmas gift she is givning to herself and her family. Hope everyone is doing well. Have a great weekend! Dianne

Oh yikes on the being awake part! You and Elissa are the iron women of EGD! I was awake for my last C-section but somehow something going down my throat is much...ewwier. Yes, ewwier is a word, I jsut made it one. Glad you're ulcer is on the way out!
