Need help to qualify for insurance approval

I'm new but have heard wonderful things about this website. I am just starting the paperwork to get approval for surgery. I haven't followed any documented diets or exercise plans in the past year although I have tried several over the counter diet supplements as well as different diets. I don't know if I can qualify without going through all the "right" places. Is this possible? If not, what does qualify? Thanks.

Have you filed the paperwork through your pcp and have yet to see the surgeon? Or did you see the surgeon? Either way, the insurance co will let you know if you qualify. Another thing that you can do is look up your insurance requirements on the web or speak to someone at human resources in the benefits dept about that, as they all seem to be different. There are some requirements that you must complete due to the surgeons' office policy. Such as PMRI if you use Drs Irgau, Wynn and Peters. I think all Drs require clearance from a cardiologist and pulmonologist. They will instruct you on the necessary appointments that you must make. The journey can be a long and involved one, but know that all these hurdles are for your well being. Good luck with your journey. Dianne
