Wanette, Sounds serious to me. Do what the Doc's say. They do know best. You have to know and believe that their are risks and do everything you possibly can to avoid them. The Dotor's will guide you. If you can get your levels under control then the surgery will procede, if not be prepared to have a delay. This should motivate you big time. Try to stay positive & focused on your health. God Bless & Good luck and I'll keep saying extra prayers for you. ((HUGS)) Elissa
Wanette,
Praise God that we have an excellent doctor and he caught this possible complication before surgery. Do what the doc tells you to do to bring your levels back into an acceptable range. And remember, that should something happen that would cause a slight delay ... that is all it will be, a "slight" delay (as long as you are able to get those levels to correct). Continue to trust that God truly does have all of this in His hands, and know that when the time is right your surgery will proceed. I do understand how it feels to be all prepared and have everything going right then to suddenly hit a snag. My snag was cardiac related and was also enough to scare me straight. I think that these snags help to make us even more appreciative of the surgery once we have it and allow us to make the very best of it. Hang in there sweetie ... do what you have to do to get as healthy as possible to face your surgery. Know that I will be praying for your peace, your health and your docs.
Hugs,
Tammy
Wanette,
I can't add more then Elisa and Tammy..they said it just perfect! Try the insulin..and then see what he recommends. I can understand you being scared..we all know that feeling..but at least he caught this...and there is something you can do about it...so, try not to stress too much(I know that affects your sugar as well..but thats easier said then done...) Put it in Gods hands..and know we are all here for you!!
I wish I could just give you a big hug!!! My heart goes out to you!
Hugs,
Kimberly

I am so happy for you! You are almost there. I read your story and you will accomplish your goals because you have a strong spirit and it seems that you have a good sense of humor also. Hopefully you will have your surgery as scheduled. I haven't been scheduled yet but today was supposed to be my surgery date but I had not completed my PMRI consults so I have to take the Life Skills class now which started on 11/11/04. I am looking at sometime in January. I will be taking a weekend getaway to Jamaica right before surgery so I will be just as anxious then as you are now when I return home. Take care of yourself and e-mail me sometime. Carol P.
