Okay...Here I am again...
I wanted to pop my head back into things and make a public promise (to myself mostly!) that I'm going to be more present here and at the PMRI meetings! (Okay...I'll start AFTER today's meeting).
I've been over my head with work things, and my WLS process took a back burner as I waited for my appointments to roll around. I met with a surgeon at Barix in Langhorne over the summer and wasn't impressed with the individual or with the program they offered. I wanted someone who was concerned with my best health interest in the LONG-TERM, not just in banking my money and chalking me up to another surgery down. To that end, I met with Dr. Wynn yesterday morning.
I am so pleased and so relieved to be back on the right track with an individual I can trust completely with my well-being! I have my appointments and life-skills class at PMRI scheduled and I don't need to see the pulmenologist since I just completed a sleep study successfully. (Not one sign of apnea! I sleep perfectly well with the exception of occasional excess leg movement!). If all plans out well, I'm hoping for an early 2005 surgery date. Yippee!
I want to say thank you to those of you who've been so delightful and to those of you I have yet to meet as we continue to support each other through these good times, as well as the darker nights of our souls.
Peace! -Susane
Hi Susane,
I'm willing to bet you will be MORE than happy with Dr's Wynn and Irgau and very glad you are going with your instincts. If you feel something just 'isn't right' with a doctor, there is usually a reason for that. Good luck to you in your journey and know that we are all rooting for your success!
