Right now, get in your car and drive over the docs office and buy some protein powder...Jim's PermaLean Protein, Bodacious Berry flavor. I just went and stocked up on my protein stuff and splurged and bought one of these. Of course I HAD to come right home and mix one up. Can you say GOOD STUFF! They had vanilla, chocolate and this berry. I never buy such a big container of anything without sampling first but this time I did. It has 20 grams protein per scoop. I mixed mine with 10 oz of Carb Countdown instead of water and a few ice cubes in my Tupperware Shaker and I am having the best berry milk shake for lunch. With a hefty 35 grams of protein. $25.00 per container 20 grams protein per scoop 5 grams sugar 1 gram fat 110 calories 24 servings per container BEST thing I've bought in ages New Jim's Convert, Linda

Linda, Think I am gonna have to be trying this one for sure now that I have heard such high raves from you. Does the docs office also carry the permalean line of protein bars? Also, does the berry taste like strawberry or like mixed berries? I had heard that this one uses Stevia for sweeting? But when I saw you posting, it says 5 gms sugar? Sucrose or frucrose? Sorry for so many questions, but I am really curious about this line Linda!!! Thanks so much for the heads up! Hugs, Tammy

Hi Tammy, Ok, going to get the can...ok, back ( missed me huh lol ) 1. I didn't see any bars at the office ( did see them on the website tho as well as the cannisters of powder. Doc's office is $10.00 cheaper say yay! ) 2. it tastes like a cross between strawberry and berry, very mild flavor, not in your face fake tasting. 3. Ingredients read: Whey concentrate, Whey isolate( ion exchange whey) Crystallized fructose, Stevia, natural flavors, natural raspberry flavor, guargum, raspberry concentrate Hope this helps, Linda

Kimberly, I am not Linda ... but since she is usually up and posting by now ... I am thinking that perhaps she is taking a much needed rest and sleeping in a bit. So I hope you both don't mind if I answer this request. BTW - sorry to hear about your lactose intolerance. I really don't have a problem with it, but my girlfriend sure does. She said that she pops lact-aide? like crazy all the time. She finds that carbcoundown is easier on her pouch. BUT I hear of others who disagree ... hopefully you will be able to try for yourself soon. I know the stats on it are sooo much better than regular milk. http://www.permalean.com/ http://www.hphood.com/products/products.list.Cb.asp Are you feeling any better today? Hugs, Tammy

mmmm sounds yummy. I never buy the powder stuff as it always made me gag. Maybe I should check it out. Im a little nervous though! I always buy the isopure bottles. the orange/banana/pineapple flavored ones. Oh I wanted to respond to you about the labs. Well, last time I was there I mentioned the labs and brett brought up that they looked good and I said it was a while ago. I told them a long time ago that I would not do the labs through PMRI because the doc that issues them isn't covered under my insurance. The labs that I did Brett gave me the slip to have them done. So no charge for me! I havent been to the nutritionist unfortunately for a very long time because everytime the appointment came up I was either doing something with my son at school or one time had a conflicting doctors appt. then she was all booked up for a month and I havent called back. So it was a series of things for that. I am going to request that they do my labs when I go to my next appt at Dr. Wynns office. I am a bit nervous about them. I hope they all turn out alright but its just been sooooo long since I had them done. I feel like calling now actually! Elizabeth M

Hi Elizabeth, Glad you are getting back on top of the labs. As for the powders, yep, alot of them can be very..well...ewww lol. This mixed up very easily just using a shaker and wasn't gloppy at all. No chalky taste either. Hope your next lab work comes back good. Linda

Hi Elizabeth, posted a reply once and lost it to cyberville, so trying again lol. I know what you mean about some of the powders, they can be really awful. This one mixes very nicely using just a shaker, no gloppy 'mouth feel' or taste. I'm glad you're getting back on top of your labs, hope they all come out good! Linda
