Please share what types of PROTEIN shakes/drinks/powders you use on a daily basis. And how many times of day you use these supplements. Thanks

Hi Shay, Umm let's see...I use EAS AdvantEdge powder..I mix it with 10 oz of Carb Countdown for aprox 35 grams per shake. I get it at Eckerd. Pretty good because it's not too sweet tasting. I make sure I get the whey protein version. I once bought the soy by mistake, can you say EWWWW! I also use Zero Carb Isopure, I like the grape and the orange best. I also use the protein hot chocolates and oatmeal from the docs office ( I doctor up the oatmeal with extras like sunflower seeds and ground flax ) Some days I will take Carb Countdown and heat it up in a pan and add a couple packs of Splenda and vanilla also occasionally I will add a dash of cinnamon. A big cup of this ( about 10 oz ) gives me 15 grams of protein. Most days I will start the day with the hot choc or cappucinno from the docs office first thing in the morning. Then I eat breakfast and have the oatmeal. I sometimes have a piece of string cheese too if it's a day I can eat more. I use the shakes or Isopure once a day in the afternoon or evening. I do pretty well with getting in food, so once or twice a day will usually suffice for a supplement. I'm wishing you luck in changing up your routine to find what works. Try some loaded oatmeal! Jeeeez, that's something I NEVER thought I'd ever recommend anyone do lmao Linda

White chocolate reeses cups (mini's), 2 grams protein each, jeez, I guess I should eat 25-30 ? Probably wouldn't be a problem if I did... sorry Shay, just being my usual smarta$$.. I'm sure you'll get a lot of good recommendations from the group. T

Hey, Shay!!! I start my day with a cup of oatmeal with a scoop of unflavored unjury. Then I have (usually) three 32 oz drinks through out the day Made of either the Syntrax Nectar ****ep at least 3 flavors on hand at all times) I use 2+ scoops so that's about 45 grams per 32 oz. OR a 32 oz drink with unflavored Unjury (2 scoops) and DaVinci SF syrup. I keep about a dozen flavors of that. That's another 40 gram drink. So, I'm getting about 100 oz of liquid and 120 grams of protein. I seem to be leaning towards the drinks as apposed to the shakes. Ken

Shay, I use unjury unflavored and isopure strawberry cream or vanilla to make smoothies. I have a smoothie at least once a day..so i can guarentee that I have those 50 grams of protein plus what I have eaten during the day. Just wanted to let you know..I too have low protein labs...I'm still dealing with that..my potassium and my iron...I have another blood test in a couple of weeks..hopefully by increasing my proteins this last month I will see a change. Ken, I want some recipes! Where do you buy your syrps etc? There is a vitamin shoppe here in town..do they have them? And what flavors do you recommend? Have a great week! Kimberly

I buy everything online. Of course, I get the Unjury from unjury.com. For the Syntrax Nectars and DaVinci SF syrups, I just do a Google search and find the place that has the lowest price and best shipping deal. You probably won't have a problem down there in Texas, but up here, they might not ship as the weather gets colder because the syrups freeze. Ken

I am stuck on Syntrax Nectar Strawberry Kiwi. Not too sweet. I use Strawberry Fruit 2O to mix it....what a good taste. Debbie

Shay, I use the Dry Strawberry Isopure Protein. Mix 2 scoops in 12 oz of Lo Carb, no fat, Hood milk. 62 grams of protein. I do unflavored Unjury with crystal lite. I mix 1 scoop with either 14 oz of red grapefruit or orange. Shake well and drink slowly. 20 grams in each drink. 3 times a day. The other 3 meals I eat are protein foods or fiber. Still do not do sugar. On occasion I do pretzels or chips. Still not doing pasta, rice or starches. Don't beat yourself up too much. This journey is about learning and sharing along the way. You are looking soooooo good. Keep up the great job. Elissa

I start day 1 egg,slice of cheese and canadian bacon(ham) 18-20gms snack- (only do this if of most of your BP meds )2 oz beef or turkey jerky 30gms-- or 4 oz nuts (20 gms) ( peanuts, walnuts, cashews, pine nuts)--plan on drinking 2 extra 8 oz glasses of water! lunch any of the following chicken breast/ham/beef/turkey 3-4 oz,1 oz cheese or small chilli,beef/pork BBQ or sloppy joe, 3-4 spare ribs chicken salad or egg salad--4oz ham and bean soup or any other bean soup 4-5 oz----30gms dinner--any of the same for lunch adding egg white omelet using Eggbeaters-2-3 egg 1-2oz cheese--25-30gms
