Well, folks...the day has arrived! Today is my one year anniversary. And although I did not met the century mark of 100 lbs in that time frame, I am ecstatically happy with what this surgery has done for me! My cholesterol is down, my high blood pressure is gone, my sleep apnea is gone, my back and knee pain are gone, I have successfully quit smoking for over a year now ...and I am so happy with the weight loss results. But best of all, not only has it saved my life...but it has brought me some of the dearest and best friends anyone could ask for. I couldn't have done it (and continue to do it) without u!!! So here's to u, my AMOS friends!!! Here are my stats for this anniversary day: Summary Report: Beginning Date: 11/4/03     Current Date: 11/4/04       Weeks Out: 52 Beginning Weight:  265    BMI:  45.5     Current Weight: 188      BMI: 32.3 Medically Suggested Ideal Weight:  121    BMI: 23.2           Average American Weight for a person of your Height and Age: 153  BMI: 26.4 Weight Data: Beginning:  Excess Weight above Ideal: 144   Excess Weight Above Normal: 112 Current:      Excess Weight above Ideal: 67    Excess Weight Above Normal:  35 Calculated Expected Loss Percentage: 75% Goal Weight: 157                  Pounds from Goal:  31 Last Loss: -188                    Loss to Date:  77 Average Loss: 1.5     Average Loss last 4 Weeks: -47 LBM: Lean Body Mass (LBM): 111  Method Used: Standard    Activity Level: Sedentary BMR: Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR): 1592     Calories to Maintain Current Weight: 1911 Protein: Strongly Suggested Protein grams per day: 53      Minimum Protein: 60 grams per day Water: Suggested Water Intake per day:  11    Glasses or  86  ounces per day BMI: Beginning BMI: 45.5     Current BMI: 32.3     Current BMI Status: Obese    BMI Goals:   Super Morbidly Obese to Morbidly Obese                         BMI: 49.9         Weight to Reach:  N/A       Status:  N/A Morbidly Obese to Severely Obese: BMI: 39.9         Weight to Reach:  232        Status:  Reached Severely Obese to Obese: BMI: 34.9         Weight to Reach:  203        Status:  Reached Obese to Over Weight: BMI: 29.9          Weight to Reach: 174        Status:  Not Yet Reached Over Weight to Normal Weight: BMI: 24.9           Weight to Reach: 145       Status:  Not Yet Reached Reminder: The above values are based on Medical Ideal Weight  - The values below are the Goal for "Normal Weight": BMI: 26.4             Weight to Reach: 153      Status:  Not Yet Reached Detailed Report: Weight: Your beginning weight  was  265   pounds.  According to medical standard charts, your ideal body weight is 121 pounds for your age and height.  However, the average weight for a person your age and height is 153. Body Mass Index - BMI BMI is an acronym for Body Mass Index.  It is an index based on height and weight and indicates a person's size or obesity level.  Your Beginning BMI was 45.5.  Your current BMI is 32.3.  Your Goal BMI is 26.9.  A normal or average BMI for a person of your age and height is 26.4.
