The Mother Of All Bras

or otherwise known as my trip to Fashion Bug Let's just say I've never been blessed in the chest even while morbidly obese ( ok, am I the only one who has come to REALLY hate that term? ) In my younger days always built like a boy lol, slim in the hips, short in the waist, all legs and no boobs LOL. Fast forward a few decades a couple of pregnancies and losing 5 or 100 pounds and all of a sudden boobage becomes an issue, still don't have much to speak of but I found it landing in the oddest places! My clothes are all getting too big so I figure I'll go shopping to see what I can find. The joys of this surgery finds you becoming really excited over things like single digit underwear, being able to buy something because you like it, not just because it comes in 6 colors and it fits ( LOL Elissa ) I'm shopping alone that day, don't recommend it as too mny things can happen to make you look like an idiot. I see this bra at fashion bug and decide to try it on. Now I'm intimidated just looking at this thing, but off to the fitting room I go. After trying it on I find I have to bend over and sorta SCOOT everything from all the wriong places into all the correct places. LOL I started laughing...in the fitting room....like a lunatic...all....alone. I was so impressed by this bra I then had to try my shirt on to see how it all looked. LOL needless to say I bought it without a seconds hestiation. I get home and put the thing on. Later Sam comes in ( the hubby ) walks past me and stops and looks again and says " Where did you get those?? " Got the same comment from my sister in law ( whom I have known since we were 11 ) later the next day. Just too funny. So, learn from me and always take someone shopping with you so you don't look like a complete idiot talking to yourself and laughing in the fitting room, and may all you post op ladies ( or guys if you're so inclined ) find the ultimate boobage for yourself! Linda, As I'm reading this I'm crying tears of happiness. You have touched both my funny bone and my tear ducts. I know exactly what you mean about shopping alone. Especially when the clothes you brought in to try on are TOO BIG!!!! Wanna hear a cry of happiness. It could have been more like a shout. I was telling every stanger in Boscov's that I no longer need to shop in THE PLUS sizes. I didn't even care what a lunatic they thought I was. I really wasn't sure where to go next. DUH!!!! The kind salesgirl pointed and said "Go to Misses" try size 16. Now about the boobs, I have always been well endowed. I'd like to take this oppurtunity to Thank my Mom. As I know my girls thank me. I think. You know if I like something now, I can buy it in my favorite color. Sooooo many choices, soooooo little time. ((HUGS)) Elissa
