upcoming Holidays...

I lobbied hard to get Julie Walenta( Dietican at PMRI) to offer a "Gastric Bypass Holiday cooking class", I did this because my initial office visit with Dr. Wynn was in november, so the first support group meetings that I went to I heard a lot of new post ops complaining about not being able to eat holiday goodies during the holiday season. She also said she had alot patients who she said the same thing about not being able to eat traditional foods at the holidays because of surgery. The class is Thur. Nov.4th 6-8pm , you need to sign up ahead of time by calling PMRI, If a lot of people sign up they can offer a second class. Also Danielle Jerome from PMRI is also offering "Baking with Sugar Substitutes" Thur Dec 2nd 6-8pm. Cost for each is $30, I know no one will want to miss learning how to mixup the traditional foods we love to get them with more protein or lower in sugars. Be there or be square!

Hi Charles Oh, how I wish I could go to these two classes. I have my sleep study on Nov 4th and if all goes well, I will hopefully be recovering from the gastric bypass surgery that is scheduled for me on 12/1. Could you pass on to us any of the recipes that you get. Rose
