re: Nicki update

I took the 8AM watch this AM. Nicki is starting to come around. She took a sponge bath with the nurse aid's help. She was looking good when "The clown" came in with emails, jokes and a "HUG pillow." She needed a secretary to answer the phone for her. Her family & neighbors were calling to check on her. I filled them in and or handed her the phone. It must be tough when they are so far away. I'm glad we can all be her family here to keep an eye on her. I know she appreciates it. Looks like as soon as a bed is available she'll be moving up to the 5th floor and out of TSU. She's happy about that. More visiting hours. Guess what, I was real quiet so they didn't kick me out. New room will be posted as soon as someone knows. Keep up the emails. She keeps them. Brett came in to change her IV site. When you are hospitalized for more than 3 days it needs to change places. I checked and he does have extra bedrooms at his new place and we are welcome to visit. Gosh I'm gonna miss him. What a personality. Okay Folks, Keep up the prayers, they are still working. Thanks. Elissa

Thank you for the update, you're an awesome friend to have Elissa ( even if you do get us all stoned on nuts at support meetings ) as for Brett, I emailed him and told him I was checking to see if he really answered his fan mail LOL...he does answer Guess we'll all be hoppin' the skinny express to NC and showing up on his door step. LMAO poor guy will sit there with all the lights off for months Glad Nicki is feeling better. Linda

Thanks Elissa for the updates. We are all praying for her and for Norma who is still in Room 4019. I heard you say at one of the meetings that you were'nt working any longer. Well you've got a full time job keeping up with all that happens through this site. Hospital visits, cooking, meetings, letters of encouragement etc. You are a true blessing to many people and please know that it is very much appreciated. Keep us informed with Nicki's progress.
