I told my parents on Saturday night about my surgery. I think they were a little shocked and of course they had alot of questions. They don't think that I realize that this is a life time committment, I do. They just worry about me. Now that that's done with I have no one else to tell. Everything is out in the open and it's a go for November 30th. YAHOO. Thanks for listening. Michele

Good for you, Michele. That was one more stepping stone in your way and now you've crossed it. Way to go. Dianne

That's great Michele, Looks like you just lost your first signifigant amount of weight. The emotional kind is just as important as the physical kind. You are gonna do great! Linda

I thought that telling my parents was the toughest thing I had to do prior to surgery with the exception of writing out a will. I think your parents will be glad as soon as the see 30 lbs just fall off you. I hadn't seen my dad since my surgery , 5 months ago , He stopped by before going to see my sister, He was amazed at how I lost 120lbs!, he had only negative comment, he said was " your hair is thinning", which reminded me of a conversation 4 months ago he said "you better eat your protein". My mom printed this picture of me prior to surgery and put it on her fridge and said " son ,I'm going to watch you melt". best wishes for surgery and my god hold youn in his hand!!!
