Hi all, I heard that sugar free popsicles and jello can count as fluid intake????Yes? No? Any other options I should know about? I want to increase my fluid intake. When I drink too much of the straight liquids, water, crystal lite, etc. my stomach starts to hurt or I feel too full when it comes to mealtime. (Before anyone asks, yes I am stopping and starting fluids when were told to do before and after eating!) Does that mean we can use popsicles or jello or ?? in between meals as fluids? If so, how do you figure out how much fluid they count for? Just wondering?????? KIT

Can you tell I am cleaning my pantry, fridge and freezer, not to mention getting overly zealous to get all the fluids I can???!!!!???? I was never a whiz at chemisty and such, but I'll guess that they would count in fluids whatever they are as solid. Such as 2 oz. jello, 2 oz fluid. I WISH I had the time to watch these things melt but sorry I have a life. Sorry for such a stupid question, BUT I am still wondering can we consider them fluids????

I think it says on the box 1.75 ounces. Aisha

Good catch! My biofocaled eyes miss things like that from time to time! I was wondering how and where to fit them into my new food plan. I think I'll use them as "in-between" fluid/snacks. I had a popsicle yesterday and it tasted good! Next I'll try jello. Any kind of variety helps these days! Thanks, Kit

To answer your email, their is no protein in SF popsicles. I'd count them as liquid. Remember the 2 days of liquids that you were on pre-surgery. SF popsicles & jello could be used. Hope this helps. E
