Update about Anita Pierce-Please post to her surgery board!

Hi, I am Anita's Angel in Training (Anita lives in Florida but had her surgery in California where her parents live) and she had her lapband surgery yesterday. All did not go as well as anticipated. They almost did not do her surgery because of a reading regarding her heart. They waited a half hour, decided the reading was a fluke, and then completed lapband surgery and a hernia repair. She was in surgery three hours. Then her blood pressure dropped very low and they kept her in the Recovery room for another three hours. They almost placed her in ICU for additional follow-up. Then she finally got up to her room and she had to go for the barium test to make sure everything was working properly. She was exhausted when I saw her last night. She also was hooked up to all the machines, had a catheter in, etc. Please-AMOS family members, everyone post a cheerful message to Anita's surgery board. She really could use the encouragement.
