Hello to all, Question is: Being a week post op I am finding it challenging to get my liquids in along with food, but I understand. I know I can't gulp water or whatever like I was used to doing. How much liquid should be consumed in 15 min or every 5. Any suggestions. I do recognize dehydration so I am constantly sipping but when I look at the bottle or cup it seems that little was drank. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks gang for any help. Cynthia p

I am having the same problem and I am 2 weeks post op. I had my 1st follow up appt on this past Monday with Brett and he told me to try 1 oz of liquid every 15 minutes. He said for me to try the Isopure, I did but it sucks. I am stick having trouble with just eating pureed so I have to up my game and really focus on liquids with protien added. I have tried adding unflavored ujury to chicken broth and it works but I need more variety. I have tried adding the ujury to foods, like pudding and grits but it makes it extra soupy like. I am so struggling right now but I just keep trying new ideas. Hope this helps. Aisha

Cyndi, Welcome to post WLS. The dreaded " How can I ever get in all the Dr's want me to?" Each day it gets easier. Just sip all day long. Of course start & stop sipping 20/30 minutes before and after you eat. I still drink 3 protein drinks a day. Counts as both fluid and protein. I eat 3 meals a day. Sometimes I can even get in a snack. Don't be too hard on yourself. Are you coming to Saturday's meeting? Try. You'll get valuable info there. Just ask questions. ((HUGS)) Elissa
