re: What I miss the most??
Elissa,
It must be an italian thing, lol. I miss the bread and butter the most. I also miss my huge dish of my grandmothers homemade spaghetti and her delicious gravy. Of course, just like you, the ton of bread and butter to lap up the extra gravy.
Thinking I may need to try just one bite!
love ya
Deb
I don't think it is just an Italian thing, as I love my hot bread and butter (real butter). But honestly, I can't say that I miss it, as I do have it once in a blue moon. I must say that I have pretty much what I want in moderation. Anyway, I am German and we do like our bread. Oh the only thing I really don't have is a glass of wine. I would some times like to be able to have that, but I have chosen to stay away from it. It is not worth me to fall into that trap. Although I will have my little shot at communion at church, twice a month.

Love love love the bread and butter thing, and a real fan of the sauce and bread dipping too! I have had small bites and that has satisfied me. The one thing I have missed being able to eat in quantity is tomatoes! Oh boy, pre-op I could do a whole bowl of tomtoes with olive oil salt and pepper all chopped up with some onion thrown in, maybe some mozarella too. All summer I would see the big baskets of tomatoes at the produce stand. I still eat that salad but not nearly the amount I'd like to be able to eat

Hello to all,
I thing I really miss is food. Just kidding. I am only a week post op and understanding a food pig I was. I can not believe how food was a enormous part of my life. Now after surgery I have no desire to eat. The garlic bread and butter is a favorite. But the biggest is carbonated sodas. Goosh would I love a glass of pepsi right now. Just for a different taste of water, cl, unsweetened tea. I am a food dummy on her way to learning more. Oh pepsi how do I miss you, let me count the ways. By forever.

I miss Pasta-- I make the best pesto's--basil or Italian parsley, (made from stuff grown in my garden). I add it with some spinach lightly saute in olive oil and add some chicken, or pasta with my tomato gravy or mushroom sauce. Some Crusty bread with bruschetta, What can I say I am an" Italian want ta be"
