surgery date

Good Morning! I am at work and wanted to update everybody. I got a date on friday when I talked to misty. My date for surgery is 11/23/04. Still have to get final Insurance approval (BCBS PPO). So keep your fingers crossed for me. Thanks, Jenn

Hey Jenn! Congrats! This is wonderful news! If it makes you feel any better, I had BCBS PPO (Empire Blue) and they approved me immediately. I'll be wishing the same for you! Good luck, Valerie

Hi Wanette and Jenn, Dr. Peters did not do my surgery but he is a great dr! I had my surgery in August and he had just started with Drs. Iragu and Wynn. Dr. Peters visited me in the hospital and also removed my drain before I went home. He was very nice. Very open to taking all the time needed to answer any questions I had! Since he had just moved to the area, we talked a bit about "life"; I believe he was doing bariatric surgery at a hospital in the Midwest and that his father is also a surgeon at Christiana. Jenn, I have BCBS PPO (Pennsylvania) but I am pretty sure they operate the same way. I had no problems with my approval. In fact, I had it in what might even be record time -- about ten days after my last clearance appt. Hang in there, I am sure it will be OK. I wouldn't hesitate to call BCBS from time to time either if you have any questions. They were always very helpful! GOOD LUCK and congratulations!!!!!
