If......
Ok, if the doctor's office receives the blood test, that were lost and I just got re-done on friday, and PMRI clears me, I will have surgery on Wed I have to be there by 8:00am. If they do not get them on time, I guess my surgery will be put off. You know, with all I have been through this is a piece of cake. I am just as calm as can be. I am messing up a little at work stupid little mistakes, but other than that I am fine, because I know sometime I will be having this surgery. The bad thing is I have to go through with the liquid diet any way, because I won't know until the last minute!!!

Dana,
I accept and am honored to be your Angel. With that said ... Okay my little angelette!!!
This is the time where the rubber meets the road. You are doing an awesome job!!! Keep up the great attitude!!! I have been in prayer for you and obviously will continue to do so.
Now, to get some of the logistics out of the way ...
Have you taken your pre-op measurements for your own record at home? These will help to encourage you in the coming months when your scales seem to be stuck and you find out that you are really losing inches at that point.
Also, have you gotten all of those important pre-op pictures yet? Ya know the ones I am talking about ... The full body shots, including rear and side shots. A close up of the face ... and if you are really brave, strip down to your skivvies, bathing suit, or even your birthday suit. Disclaimer here ... You DON"T have to post these on the Internet, unless you are so inclined. But truly they will help you see your loss when your head plays tricks on you and tells you that you really haven't lost anything. Truly my pics have been my saving grace at times. My head is just now starting to see my true body size and shape. It can be a hard road and so it helps to have everything you can think of to help your head catch up with your body in the next months to come.
If you plan to weigh yourself on your home scales, make sure you get a base weight there right before you head out to the hospital. So often people put on weight (from the IV) in the hospital so when they weigh in later it seems that they are not losing and that can be discouraging. However, I would recommend that as soon as you get your pre-surgery weight and your post surgery weight ... put those nasty scales away for a while anyway. It can really play with your mind, the mini ups and downs of the scale. I read so often of others not knowing if they had plateaus or not, because they never weighted in at home. I wish I could have followed this advice, cause there have been times that my scales have ruled my mood, and ruined my day. I think my journey would have been a bit easier emotionally had I put my scales away right away.
So how is the liquid diet going for you? For me the hardest time was the middle of the first afternoon. After I hit that period, it was easier to get through it. I pretty much kept loaded up on Fruit 2O and Chicken broth. Keeping my tummy full of liquids really helped me I think. Plus I had always loved Fruit 2-O so I pretty much considered that a treat!!!
Hang in there, and be sure to let us know right away as soon as you have heard that everything is a go. We will all be waiting to celebrate with you!!!
Hugs,
Tammy
I am keeping my fingers crossed for you! I am hoping that it all works out. Just staying in touch with the office. Wouldn't it be great if you knew for sure tomorrow. I am praying for you and for God's speed. Just remember when it is your time, it will be right with you and your God. Keep the Faith-you have already come so far.
Hugs
