I need some clear liquid diet ideas, I am drawing a blank and I have to go shoping for these things this weekend, my diet starts monday and also I am working monday and tuesday. I need to take with me as much as I am aloud. 2. Would any one like to be my angel? Thats all for now!!! Thank you Dana

Dana Feel free to ask away... Your questions are not bothersome. I am excited to see you getting so close. Get some diet sprite, chicken broth, sf jello, sf popsicles and I think that was my entire 2 day staples. Can't have the soda post op so don't buy too much of that -- but buy plenty of the others for afterwards. Good luck, Dianne

Oh Dana I didn't see part 2 of your question til after. I'm still a little new and not comfortable enough to be an angel. I'm sure the others will jump in there.

Thank you Dianne you helped me with the most important one, I have my daughter she can keep people informed, I just wanted someone she could contact to post because our home computer is down. Take care and thanks again. Dana

Dana, About the questions ... ask away sweetie ... that is what everyone is here for. Never too many questions or dumb questions. Although I have been known to give dumb answers before *grin* ... come to think of it, I think I could be accused of giving to many answers as well? hmmmm Well anyway ... about the clear liquids ... you could add Fruit 2-0 to your list if you like it. You can purchase it individually at Hunters Sale Barn if you have not tried it. I pretty much lived on that during my clear liquid stage. Also Crystal light is a good thing to have on hand. You can also make your own chicken broth, just make sure you strain it for yourself, but your family can eat the chicken. It will make a lot and you can freeze it in individual portions to have available when you come home. I have heard of a lot of people drinking jello to help fill the tummy pre-op, haven't tried it personally, but sounds like it may be worth a try. Something I always say, and you are probably getting tired of me saying it, but be careful buying too much pre-op ... truly you are not going to eat near as much as you think and it will last forever. For the first time in my life, I found myself having to throw stuff out because I could not eat it fast enough. Also, your tastes may very well change. Mine took a 180 degree turn. What tasted good to me pre-op (Fruit 2-0) made me post-op. About your angel. I would love to volunteer, however I am leaving town the day after your surgery and will be gone for a while. I am thinking you would be better off with someone who will be here and available for you those first few days. However, if you don't mind the fact that I won't be around for several days, I would be honored to be your co-angel. Hopefully someone else who can be there for you during those all important post-op days will be around soon and volunteer to be your primary angel. Just let me know Dana ... either way, official angel or not, co-angle or not, please know that you are on my heart and I am here for you should you need anything. Hugs, Tammy

Thank you Tammy for all of the wonderful advise. As far as the Angel right now I don't have one and would love for you to be by angel, I just needed someone my daughter could relay to how I made out and what room I will be in. But there is a big glitch in my surgery plans, If I have surgery on wed. all depends on PMRI receiving my blood test results so they can clear me for surgery. So if it dosn't come in on time I may have to have my surgery put off a little. So your first job as my angel is to please pray. I am praying too, that it will happen for me on wed. I will keep you posted. Thanks, Dana
