I'm hoping someone is willing to share who their primary care doc is and if they are accepting new patients. I've been with the same doc about 10 years, unfortunately they lost all my information yet AGAIN and it took two friggin hours to have an appointment. ( Turns out there were no less than SIX of us scheduled for the same time this morning ) The nurse typing my preliminary info into their computer system couldn't get it through her head that I didn't have surgery to correct a problem with acid reflux on my esophogus and just stared blankly when I said weight loss surgery. Then I looked at the info she typed in and told them they had it wrong. She had it down that I passed out twice. UGH I NEVER have passed out...well ok maybe once or twice in my younger wilder days annnyway, I'm sick of going to a place that's run like a clinic, I feel like I need to shower when I leave due to more illnesses picked UP in there than cured, triple and quadruple bookings, hours to get the simplest thing done and constant mix-ups in information. I hope someone out there has a decent office they can recommend. I don't expect miracles or perfection but I do expect a certain level of basic competance when I see a doc. UGH.

I go to Oxford Medical Center They have two great doctors and three nurse practicionors (sp) I see all of them, that way when you are sick and you need an appointment asap, I can always get in to see someone. Good Luck on your search. Dana

Not sure where you are in DE but I have the BEST doc! Her name is Dr. Victoria Mawn. She is located on Limestone road and the office there is wonderful. Bobbie (the receptionist/med assistant) is the greatest!!! she was so incredibly wonderful through my whole PMRI thing making sure I had my referrals and letting me know what people had problems with insurance wise. The doctors are wonderful and fit you in their schedule right away! I was with a doc for years and years and wish I had gone to this one sooner! Her office is also in the same building as Lab Core (for bloodwork) and Imaging (for any ultrasounds or cat scans and such) so its so very convenient. Cant say enough nice things about her. AND she recommended me to my surgeon Dr. Wynn and yes she is accepting new patients if I remember correctly the office number is 302.633.1700 just ask for Dr. Mawns Office and she will transfer you to Bobbie. Best of luck Elizabeth M

Hi Linda, I have been going to Dr. Kristine Diehl (Dr. Kramer is the other doctor at the practice, member of DE Family Care) for about 10 years. She is excellent. Very understanding and cautious. Do have occassional problems with her office staff relaying messages? following up on items etal? But I think every medical office has that problem. They are located on 2700 Silverside Rd. (phone number 478-8421). Can't remember if they are taking on new patients or not. I can check this weekend when she passes on the Bike to the Bay. Website is delawarefamilycare.com Good luck on your search... Rob

Hi Linda, My Dr. is in Hockessen off Yorklyn Rd. Dr. Eric Schwarz. He is part of The Christiana Health Care. The best thing I can say is he listens to me and suggests what I need pro-actively. He is on-time and sincerely apoligizes if even 5 minutes late. I never feel rushed. He is very up on Vitamins, he's young and follows up on my progress along with the surgeons and PMRI. If you're interested give me a call and I'll give you the office number. Elissa
