Abdominal Plasty Surgery
Hello Amos Family, 
I'm new to the DE boards, I posted my first message yesterday. I'm planning on relocating to the DE area hopefully next year. I'd like to stay preferrably in Newark or Bear DE, possible Middletown. I'm trying to get as much info as I can on support groups in these areas for when I do make the move, so far everyone here has been very helpful with giving me information.
Now I have another question. I have currently lost 158lbs and will be consulting with a plastic surgeon on Oct. 11th. My surgeon would like me to wait until my 18 months is up if possible to have the procedure done, which will be in July, so I'm trying to get a heads up on what the surgery will be like if any of you have had it done already? I'm also a Jehovah's Witness and do not take blood under any cir****tances, only blood substitutes, so I also wonder if this particular surgery is a bloody procedure? Are there any JW's or anyone in general who just chooses not to take blood and have had this procedure done? What did you come up against in this area? I'd also like to know of any and all excellent Plastic Surgeons in the DE area, just in case I choose not to have it done here in Philly. Thanks so much in advance to your responses.

Shawna, We have a couple ladies that have had Plastic surgery. However I don't think their religion prevents them from getting blood. Not sure about that. Are you going to be having your PS in Philadelphia? Houses are nice in Bear & Middletown. Lots of single homes & townhouses too. Good prices too. The support meetings are open to all, 2 a month at PMRI in Wilmington. 1st on a Saturday and 2nd meeting on a Monday night. Not always the same topics. There are also 1 meeting a month at a church in Newport. Informal but a lot of information to share. Next meeting is on Monday night Oct 4th at both places.
