Saturday's meeting

Good evening posties, I have a question about this Saturday's meeting. Will this be a repeat of what Brett talked about last time or a continuation. I had to leave before the meeting was over last time and didn't hear what the topic was going to be. These meetings are a great help even if it is a repeat. The group discussions always seem to get around to questions that I have. Tomorrow I go for my 3 month check up with Dr. Wynn. It will be the first time I see her since the surgery. Brett has always taken the other appointments. I saw her in the hospital when I was visiting with my daughter who was having surgery. She was quite encouraging. I'm looking forward to seeing how she thinks the progress is coming. By my calculations I am down 49 pounds. (Think I'll make 50 by tomorrow?) This seems a little slower than alot of the others but I am still very pleased and I feel great. Just got back from the gym and did 30 minutes on the eliptical and 20 minutes on the treadmill. Can you believe it? 3 months ago I couldn't walk a block without huffing and puffing. God is so good! Please post about Saturday's meeting I would greatly appreciate it. Hey Mama - Saturday's meeting is about Gastric Bypass and Eating Out (cant' remember the exact title..). Different than Brett's meeting. Hey! When was the last time you lost 50 lbs in 3 months? Congrats on the workout! I hope to join you soon! Valerie

I was wondering the same... I may not be able to attend. I'm not sure yet. 50 lbs is great, congratulations. What gym do you use? Dianne

I go to 1614 in Bear. It is in the new shopping center across from Fox Run. Very nice gym and great people. I've enjoyed going. They are quite helpful and supportive. Mama

Thanks Tammy, I didn't loose as much as I thought but it was still great. 47.2 pounds according to Dr. Wynn's scale. They said I was right on target and since I had never asked them what my "goal" should be I asked about that today. I hear about it here on the posts but didn't know how to calculate it. Brett said that being 5'2" and with the BMI that I was that I should probably get down to 150 or less if I exercise alot. We'll see, because I haven't seen that weight in 30 plus years. He said I am doing well, even though I thought I was a slow looser. But as we know we can't compare ourselves because that isn't wise. Hope to see you tomorrow. God Bless, Mama
