Lap scars ... the topics ...
So enquiring minds are wanting to know ... How are your scars doing?
One of mine I have never really seen but can feel (inside my belly button). Two of mine are completely invisible (sight wise and by feeling - no bumps). Even looking real hard, I can't find them. One is very slight, hardly noticable. However, I have two that are still kind of red (not infected) and are still a bit of a bump. The one at the very top middle and the one that held my drain. Although they are pretty small (not even the width of my pinkie fingernail - small pinkie at that). Not sure they are ever going to disappear completely. All in all though, it is amazing to me that such a major surgery can result in almost no outside evidence, other than the weight loss of course!
Curious as to how everyone else is doing in this department. If you are not uncomforatable with this topic, please share the scoop on how your battle scars are doing.
Being only 3 weeks post op, I am pleasantly surprised at my 'battle scars'. None are very big or ugly. The one at my belly button, should disappear any time now! Probably the worst for me, is the bruising I still have around the drain site, although that scar is almost nil now!
Have a great day!

Cool topic, one I have always wondered how everyone was doing but never thought to compare in the bathroom at PMRI LOL. Mine are all fading and you really can't tell what they are now. A few have a kind of a dent but are small. NOTHING like my vertical C-Section scar X 2 ! I agree, it's nothing short of amazing that they can do such a major rewiring inside and have very little outside evidence. Very cool huh!

Hey Tammy, I gotta say that my scars are slightly visible. I have to really look for a couple. But they are fading nicely. I had a hernia at the naval site about 4 years ago. I have a small 5 inch long incision there. But when the Doc sewed me up he forgot to put my belly button back. If I do ever have a tummy tuck, I want my naval back where it should be. It looks too weird to me not to have one. That surgery hurt far worse than this one. I'm not so sure I want to have any more surgeries either. So I may always have a floppy tummy and no belly button. We'll see. ((HUGS)) Elissa
Thanks guys for swaping stories with me. Sure learn a lot about people that way eh?
Elissa ... you doc forgot what??? How in the world did he react when he realized that he forgot to finish your surgery? More important, how did you react? Bet you bopped him in the nose and caused him to have a big ole red swollen nose ... hey ... come to think of it, perhaps that is why you have this newfound clown fetish?
Better be running along before you me!!!
Love ya guys!
Tammy
