RE: Debbie Sullivan out of surgery
Welcome Debbie to the Looser's side. She is Dianne's sister. I'm sure Dianne will let us all know later how she is. I TT Dianne about 1:30 this afternoon, she didn't know much at that time. However she left me a msg about 6:15 that Debbie is in room 5026A. So lets all send her our best. Here's the link.

Thanks, Elissa.
Yes, Debbie did well. Her BP went up but they controlled it with meds. I was only able to see her a few minutes and she was trying to get to the bathroom despite the foley cath. She was c/o a lot of pain. I came back in an hour and she looked a little better, really tired and beat. Hopefully the pain meds were kicking in enough.
It was so weird...
Deb was the 2nd case. Down at 9am. I went to surgical waiting room. After case #1, Dr Irgau came out to speak to that family and stopped to talk to me about my egd and ulcer. He then said he'd be back after Debbie was done. I never moved except to pace up and down the outer hall just outside of the door. Deb was done by NOON, but I didn't hear anything. Brett and Dr I said they both looked for me, not sure how. I saw Brett leaving the OR and assumed Dr I would be coming. Hours later, Dr Wynn came to speak to the family of case #3 and I grabbed her and she couldn't believe that I hadn't heard. She reassured me that Debbie was doing fine and then made a call and my sister was ALREADY ON 5D!
Anyway, they worked their magic and all is well, but I was just going nuts waiting for some word!!! After that, I was walking down the hall to go to the elevators to see her as I had to hurry off and pick up my son for a Dr's appt. Dr Irgau met me in the hall and explained the surgery in detail and how well she did and couldn't have been more appologetic. Then after Ben's Dr's appt, I went back to see her and the nurse said she had orders to place a call to Brett when I arrived and he gave me the scoop again and appologized about the miscommunication.
Like I said, the gist is they worked their awesome magic and my sister is fine. They were all truly sorry that I had waited for so long. I still think they are the most awesome bunch and excellent surgical team around.
Hope I didn't scold Dr Irgau too much, he knows I think he is a genius.
Then off to Open House at the youngest ones school and now home to the final BB5 episode.
