Well I guess I'm going to be a slow loser. I only lost 4 lbs since surgery at my 2 week appointment, but I am still trying to stay positive. Remind me again what the benifits are of being a slow loser lol. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the great weather...... Kristina

I don't know what benefits, maybe skin issues--there's a plus. Otherwise, how are you feeling, Kristina?

Kristina, Stay positive! Remember it's still a loss and not a gain! Brett stated at the meeting that two pounds a week is a good loss. This surgery is tricky, all of a sudden the scale will just move. Take care of yourself. Hope to see you soon! Deb

Kristina, Keep the faith. Try to stay focused and positive. 4 lbs loss is positive. It is a loss. How are you feeling otherwise? Getting in your protein and some walking? Your official cheerleading team is here if you need us. Elissa

Thank you all for the positive vibes. Other wise I am doing great and feel great I have stepped up the walking to 20 mins everyday instead of everyother day. Im doing ok with the water intake however my protein is a bit low about 60 to 65 grams a day Brett said hed like to see 80 so Im just going to and unflavored Unjury to everything I drink. I have decided that if slow and steady is what my body wants then thats the way its going to be as long as its a constant loss and no gaining I'm on the right road. I hope to make it to the next support group meeting now that I can drive Yippyyyyyyy ..... Kristina

Hang in there and let your body do it's thing. You may not be a slow losr at all. Have you noticed any fluid retention? You may still be holding on to that from the hospital for whatever reason. Sounds like you have a good plan in the works by adding the protein to your drinks, double benefit of staying extra hydrated to flush out those fluids as well as getting in the extra protein. Glad to hear you're exercising too. Good luck and hang in there! Linda

Krista, You know what? I felt the same way two weeks out. It has a lot to do with your starting weight (the lower the start weight the slower you lose)and it also depends on your physical activity. Keep your head up, your doing fine! Angie
